DON THORNTON is the author of numerous books on vintage kitchen collectibles, The Eggbeater Chronicles, 2nd ed. (1999), Apple Parers (1997), Beat This: The Eggbeater Chronicles (1994), and The Eggbeater Book (1983).
He lives with his wife, Diane, in Oceanside, California.
Once a collector himself with a house full of thousands of vintage and antique kitchen collectibles (eggbeaters, whisks, apple parers, butter churns, potato mashers, nutmeg graters, cherry pitters, ice shavers, peelers, slicers, corers, mechanical spatulas, measuring cups, jars, bottles, Universal pottery, choppers, sad irons, pot scrubbers, pot lifters, combination culinary devices, and other old-timey kitchenware), he now occasionally dabbles in selling items on ebay under the name @scrmbl.
